The Compliance Officer II assists in developing, implementing, testing and administering the credit union’s compliance program to ensure organization-wide internal controls are in place.

Job duties- Collect and organize relevant regulatory agency directives, memoranda, interpretive rulings, laws and regulations
- Communicate results of review activity and regulatory change to compliance and business unit leadership
- Partners with business units in the implementation of regulatory or corrective action changes
- Stay abreast of the regulatory environment by conducting compliance research and analysis of new/pending laws and regulations, maintaining a working knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations
- Provide compliance risk expertise enterprise-wide
- Conducts regulatory reviews, in collaboration with Lead Reviewer
- Review and analyze business unit compliance monitoring
- Review marketing collateral and member facing materials for regulatory compliance
- Develop and deliver regulatory compliance training to business units
- Ensure all member related complaints and responses are reviewed and analyzed
- Complete compliance due diligence on potential and existing vendors
Essential skills
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in compliance and/or audit in the financial services sector
- Experience in project management is preferred
- Ability to organize, analyze and interpret data to make recommendations
- Ability to work autonomously to manage time effectively and prioritize work appropriately to meet deadlines
- Strong business communication skills; able to write/speak clearly and professionally for a variety of audiences
- Strategic thinker with outstanding research, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Ability to deliver effective stakeholder presentations to diverse audiences
- Ability to foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of Fair Lending Wiz is preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Certification/License: Either obtain (within 2 years of hire) or maintain Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) certification
Location: Hillsboro, OR 97124 (HYBRID)
Target Compensation in Hillsboro, OR: $78,000 to $88,000 annually + annual bonus
