The Senior Compliance Officer leads in developing, implementing, testing and administering the credit union's compliance program including but not limited to; fair lending, privacy, business support, findings, monitoring, change management and training, to ensure organization-wide internal controls are in place.
Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful:
Job Duties:

• Act as compliance subject matter expert and second line of defense to provide support and oversight to ensure the effective operation of the Compliance Management System enterprise-wide.
• Collect and organize relevant regulatory agency directives, memoranda, interpretive rulings, laws and regulations
• Stay abreast of the regulatory environment by conducting compliance research and analysis of new/pending laws and regulations, maintaining a working knowledge of applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
• Drive quality, consistency, and focused, risk-based coverage of compliance monitoring activity and remediation across 1st and 2nd lines through analysis, planning, coordination, monitoring execution and remediation support.
• Develop and track progress against dynamic, risk-based 2nd line of defense compliance monitoring plan informed by compliance requirements assessments, regulatory changes, changes to products, services, and processes, member complaints, and other sources of compliance intelligence.
• Act as subject matter expert on compliance monitoring to develop standards and best practices in support of 1st and 2nd line monitoring activities, root cause analysis, findings management and resolution.
• Plan, conduct and support 2nd line compliance monitoring reviews using techniques including process reviews, transaction testing, and data analytics.
• Assist in the development and review of 1st line business unit compliance monitoring.
• Develop board and management reporting on monitoring results, root causes, and trends.

Essential Skills:

• Minimum three years' experience in compliance and/or audit in the financial services sector
• Experience in project management is preferred
• Ability to organize, analyze and interpret data to make recommendations
• Ability to work autonomously to manage time effectively and prioritize work appropriately to meet deadlines
• Strong business communication skills; able to write/speak clearly and professionally for a variety of audiences
• Strategic thinker with outstanding research, analytical, and problem solving skills
• Ability to deliver effective stakeholder presentations to diverse audiences
• Ability to foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Knowledge of Fair Lending Wiz is preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience
• Certification/License: Either obtain (within 2 years of hire) or maintain Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) certification. International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) certifications preferred

Location: Hillsboro, OR 97124 (HYBRID)
Target Compensation: $91,000 to $107,000 + annual bonus
