About the Role:
Pluto Health seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance Analyst to ensure that our organization adheres to regulatory requirements and industry standards. The Compliance Analyst will be responsible for conducting internal assessments, identifying gaps in compliance, implementing corrective actions, and providing guidance to the company on compliance matters. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Identify areas of non-compliance and develop corrective actions or mitigation plans.
- Monitor changes in regulations and update internal policies and procedures accordingly.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance program effectiveness and resolve any compliance-related issues.
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs to educate employees on their responsibilities and promote a culture of compliance.
- Maintain and update compliance documentation, including policies, procedures, and audit reports.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Stay updated on changes in applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, and communicate these changes to stakeholders.
- Assist in the implementation of internal controls and monitoring mechanisms to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Perform investigations and respond to compliance-related inquiries, incidents, or complaints.
Qualifications for the role:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field preferred, but not required.
- Proven experience in a compliance and/or risk or similar position.
- Familiar with the compliance frameworks and regulations that govern Pluto Health (eg. HIPAA, CFR 21, SOC, HITRUST, ISO 27001, NIST 800-53)
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in information security.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather and interpret complex data and identify trends or patterns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Proficiency in using compliance management software and tools is a plus.
- Professional certifications in compliance, such as Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), are preferred.
