American Kids Sports Center, located in Bakersfield, California, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Competitive Team Head Coach to join our dynamic team. As a leading sports center in the region, we are committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for children to develop their skills, build confidence, and achieve their athletic goals.
Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the Competitive Gymnastics Teams, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
• Design and implement training programs that align with individual athlete needs and team objectives.
• Conduct regular team practices, focusing on skill development, technique refinement, and routine preparation.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, encouraging their growth and progress.
• Collaborate with assistant coaches and other staff members to ensure a coordinated approach to training and competition.
• Coordinate and oversee team participation in local, regional, and national gymnastics competitions.
• Communicate effectively with parents, keeping them informed about team activities, progress, and performance expectations.
• Uphold the highest standards of safety, adhering to all relevant guidelines and protocols.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years as a Gymnastics Team Head Coach within a highly regarded program.
• Strong knowledge of gymnastics techniques, skills, and routines across various levels.
• Proven track record of developing athletes and achieving competitive success.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with athletes, parents, and staff.
• Ability to create a positive and motivating training environment that fosters teamwork, discipline, and respect.
• Up-to-date knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in gymnastics coaching.
• USAG certification is required.
