JOB PURPOSE:
Design, develop, and maintain a compensation strategy for the organization to ensure competitive, cost-effective, and legally compliant compensation programs and practices. Create pay ranges based on external market data, and conduct annual compensation reviews of job levels, benchmarking, and updating job descriptions. In conjunction with management, performing data analyses and formulating recommendations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design/Maintain job and pay structures providing accurate pay ranges and annual incentive plans while maintaining consistency and alignment with our compensation philosophy.
- Collect and analyze industry compensation data and conduct market analysis; validate Numotion’s overall compensation strategies to ensure competitiveness in the market by analyzing jobs, compensation data and turnover data.
- Consult with the business in designing variable pay plans; create and maintain relevant variable pay plan documents and ensure adherence to compensation strategies.
- Promote an understanding of compensation philosophies, practices, and administration across all levels of the organization. Create compensation materials and trainings to illustrate and communicate compensation related information to organization.
- Maintain the overall job structure including developing and maintaining guidance around titling, writing and updating job descriptions, determining job qualifications, and job evaluation documentation.
- Establish internal equity by evaluating and ranking jobs.
- Collaborate with others to design and adjust pay guidelines, salary structures and compensation packages, and develop policies and procedures.
- Complete compensation reports by gathering and analyzing pay data.
- Participate, review, and conduct compensation surveys to establish external equity.
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by enforcing adherence to requirements.
- Provide key support in managing HR M&A integration activities.
- Partner with HR Business Partners to guide leaders through merit raise and incentive process by considering the following when recommending pay raises and incentives; performance levels, market pay rates, internal equity, and budget.
- Partner with HR Business Partners to provide guidance on the resolution of classification and salary complaints
- Utiliz Numotion Leadership Principles to perform job with integrity, compliance, and values consistent with Numotion’s mission.
- Adhere to employee or customer confidentiality and comply with Numotion’s policies and federal regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum education required
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Minimum skills or certifications required.
- Strong knowledge base of variable pay and job structures
- Strong analytical skills: ability to collect and analyze data and present findings (complex formulas, vlookups, pivot tables, etc.). Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communicator and ability to interact with all levels of organization
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Familiar with DOL and FLSA laws, including state specific
- Minimum years of experience required.
- 5+ years of compensation experience
PREFERRED COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with PayFactors or similar a plus
- Change management experience with larger scale pay practice transformations preferred
