Position Purpose:

Responsible for providing analytical and consultative work in the design, implementation and administration of compensation programs, processes that are competitive, fair and financially sustainable.  Administers and assists in developing Company Compensation programs.  Participates in the salary administration process, provides complete job evaluation and market pricing analysis, develop cost modeling, and collaborate with HRBP and leaders to provide appropriate compensation guidance.  Manages and coordinates compensation projects for field and corporate functions.

Key Job Activities:
  • Evaluate jobs and recommend appropriate level, title, base pay and bonus targets within company guidelines and the global grading system according. Maintain job documentation library ensuring that the most recent job descriptions are on file.  
  • Conduct market analyses against external survey data, assess internal equity, and communicate findings and pay recommendations to managers and human resource business partners.
  • Design and build compensation metrics, reports and tools to make informed compensation program decisions and analyze business outcomes.  Leverage technology and proactively identify ways to streamline and simplify processes (ie. Pay adjustment process, survey job matching).
  • Designs and generates reports from SuccessFactors, as needed, in order to capture data useful in compensation analysis for various recommendations.  Works with HR systems team and HR data compliance regarding requirements and testing for new/upgrades to compensation-related system enhancements.  
  • Using third-party survey data, create compensation salary structures for countries within EMEAA.
  • Work with the global compensation team in leading organizational wide, global, initiatives such as merit and annual incentive plan administration or other ad-hoc broad-based compensation initiatives.
  • Identify and participate in salary surveys.  Monitor best practices and trends as it relates to compensation programs. Update, maintain and utilize market pricing software when preparing analyses.
  • Work closely with HRIS as it relates to compensation aspects of the system.  Support and participate in compensation-related system enhancements and on-going maintenance activities.
  • Performs other related duties as required or requested including, but not limited to:
    • Responds to day-to-day compensation-related questions concerns
    • Evaluates new and revised positions; recommending appropriate grade and title based on external market as well as internal equity 
    • Assists management in the development of job descriptions

Scope of Work

This role will interact with Human Resources Business Partners and other stakeholder within Human Resources such as HRIS, the benefits team and the broader compensation team. This role will be heavily involved in administration and projects with a global span. This role will be expected to manage projects and own work fairly independently, occasionally seeking guidance and/or input and feedback from other stakeholders. This role is an individual contributor.

 

Contacts Internal: HR Business Partners, Total Rewards team, HRIS, Legal and, on occasion, local EMEA Management
Contacts External: Third party compensation vendors; CompAnalyst and survey data providers (mercer)

Education:
Required Education: in Bachelors
Experience (North America):
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, finance, business administration or related field.
  • 5 or more years of compensation experience required.
  • Certified compensation professional with a designated CCP preferred.
  • Systems experience in Success Factors, ADP and a Compensation Market Data Software system i.e., CompAnalyst preferred.
  • Knowledge - strong working knowledge of compensation programs.  Must demonstrate sound knowledge of job evaluations, market analysis, bonus and other pay programs, and state and local laws/regulations.
  • Analytical - strong analytical skills; demonstrates the ability to perform routine to moderately complex compensation-related analysis and make recommendations in support of analysis.
  • Ability to learn and understand Company organizational structures. quickly and adapt to changing environments.  Ability to work with all levels of management.
  • Advanced proficiency using MS Office Suites (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).  Must be able to perform complex functions within Excel in order to manipulate and calculate data for analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present complex concepts and technical issues.
Certifications and/or Licenses:
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
