Golin Chicago is looking for a Senior Compensation Analyst to join our Corporate Human Resource team. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong analytical mindset, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality for reporting on our overall compensation and incentive programs. 

This role is responsible for supporting the administration and maintenance of our compensation and incentive plans. This is an amazing opportunity for someone looking to gain exposure to compensation planning in a fast-paced global Public Relations agency. The ideal candidate is someone that is analytical, an Excel wizard, has a passion for data and reporting and supporting compensation data planning teams.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and administration of the company's annual incentive plans
  • Assists in the administration of the company's bonus/equity program; prepares and disseminates detailed and summary reports to gather management recommendations
  • Collecting, maintaining, and analyzing local and global pay data
  • Participate in global compensation projects as needed including annual salary surveys
  • Support initiatives to audit compensation data including but not limited to - bonus and salary data and employee mobility
  • Assist in the distribution of files and report requests where needed
  • Ensure the compensation data held in our various systems including HRIS payroll and the executive compensation reports are always up-to-date and accurate
  • Assist with pulling and analyzing data for annual Affirmative Action Planning
  • Partner with internal HR business partners to address compensation-related needs at different levels including wage transparency
  • Analyze internal and external market data, make recommendations when appropriate


What You Have:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in compensation experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, finance, business, or related field preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; strong familiarity with advanced Excel skills such as vlookups, pivot tables, and multiple variable formulas
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to organize and analyze large datasets, detect, and correct errors, interpret and report results to various audiences, take responsibility for data quality assurance and confidentiality required
  • Strong teamwork and collaborative skills, working and communicating effectively with other members of the HR team, as well as professionals across all levels of the organization
  • Have an analytical mindset, able to suggest ways to look at the data to generate new insights
  • Knowledge and experience using high-quality compensation survey tools
  • Must be a self-starter, agile, flexible, a problem solver, and accountable

Golin has included the base salary range or hourly rate for this role. Actual compensation offered within the range will depend upon, among other factors: a candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience; actual ranges for current or former employees in the role; and market considerations.

 Salary range:

$90,000 - $110,000
