Your Role
As the Compensation Analyst, you will report to the Deputy Director, Compensation and Mobility and are able to work in a hybrid remote work arrangement from our Seattle, WA office. You are creative, thoughtful, and curious employee that identifies as a problem solver, trusted business partner, mentor, and subject matter expert for respective technical expertise in the Compensation team. You will manage and coordinate a range of compensation processes, reporting and databases.
What You’ll Do
  • Assist in the development, implementation, administration and evaluation of strategies, plans, programs and procedures designed to provide for equitable and competitive employee compensation.
  • Responsible for participating in annual salary surveys for over 20 surveys in which the foundation participates.
  • Maintain the Market Analysis Tool (Market Pay) to ensure accuracy of our benchmarks and conducts Market Data Analysis.
  • Assist with the administration of the annual Compensation Review
  • Represent comp on Performance Partnership Team; manage timelines, and act as a project manager for the Annual Compensation Review process.
  • Ensure smooth system testing, data auditing, and training for team members.
  • Audit internal and external indicators of pay health, such as pay exception request frequency, market data, compa-ratio, turnover, etc.
  • Assist in maintaining the foundation’s new job architecture to ensure consistency, auditing to ensure adherence, and change management with items such as: job codes, levels, titles, criteria, and pay levels/ranges.
  • Assist in creating training materials and tools for Talent Acquisition team and HRBPs and deliver ongoing training as needed.
Your Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Psychology, Statistics, Business Administration, and/or related field that uses quantitative analysis, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in an analytical human resources role, compensation analytics, or a similar analytical role.
  • Exposure to Workday and/or MarketPay desirable.
  • Ability to prioritize/work in an environment with competing demands, excellent attention to detail, and excellent customer service orientation.
  • Ability to analyze data and drive excellent decision-making.
  • Ability to distill insights and trends for storytelling and principled recommendations.
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills and familiarity with other statistical packages.
  • Must be able to legally work in the country where this position is located without visa sponsorship.

The salary range for this role is $113,600 to $170,000 USD. We recognize high-wage market differences where our offices are located, in Seattle, Washington D.C., and Boston (Cambridge). The range for this role in these locations is $123,800 to $185,600 USD. As a mission-driven organization, we strive to balance competitive pay with our mission and new hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary range between the minimum and the midpoint salary range. Actual placement in the range will depend on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, and expertise, as evaluated during the interview process.
