Company Operations Manager

Perdido Beach Service (PBS) has a rare opening for an experienced and highly motivated Company Operations Manager managing 3 companies (Perdido Beach Service, Wildhearts, Sky Surfer). As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our company, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and profitability. This is a key leadership role that requires strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

For over 40 years, PBS has provided beach services in Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, and Perdido Key, focusing on superlative customer service and 100% satisfaction. Our services include beach rentals, watersports rentals, and through our affiliates, sailing cruises, dolphin tours, and parasailing adventures.

The Operations Manager role we seek to fill is a key role in our organization's managerial responsibilities that include the following:

Management and Personnel Oversight

• Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency and productivity
• Monitor and analyze operational processes to identify areas for improvement
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Identify and resolve operational issues in a timely manner
• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts, as required to meet the needs of the company’s business operations.
• Manage beach equipment and sales including all daily operations including sales, customer service, collection of payments, and safety.
• Maintain and build relationships with our current customers, owners, board members, and property managers.
• Coaching and developing new and current team members
• Ensure all reports/tasks will be completed and sent out to appropriate Managers before and after the day's turnover in a timely manner and ensure teams are working effectively
• Handling guest complaints and ensuring all issues will be addressed to appropriate Managers, follow up and the result had to meet the highest guest's satisfaction.
• Outwardly in the public area to help guests as soon as they need assistance in a friendly, professional manner.
• Oversee scheduling and staffing, including employee counseling and direction
• Assist with the hiring, HR matters, and oversight over a staff of 50+ during the season.
• During the season (Spring Break-Labor Day) be available after hours to assist with the management of personnel and customer issues
• Carry out other duties and special projects as assigned by Management.

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications and experience for this role:

• Degree in business, hospitality/tourism or related field
• 3+ years experience managing a staff of 10+ employees
• Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset
• Self-starting, flexible and team-oriented
• Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
• Military experience with command of 10+, or operations/logistics managerial experience
• Experience with seasonal business with demanding in-season hours
• Knowledge or familiarity with Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Perdido Key condominiums, local governments, and/or rental businesses
