Job Description:
Assist in monitoring this residential program for individuals experiencing homelessness, with a focus on maintaining a safe environment. Be part of a team with a commitment to engaging individuals in an approachable and empathetic manner while performing rounds and addressing the varied needs of individuals experiencing homelessness. You will manage conflict or challenging behaviors with self-awareness, emphasizing safety and building trust while understanding each person's unique experience. This position is subject to mandatory overtime.
Location: Manhattan, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:00PM - 11:30PM
Salary: $16 - $20 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Screening residents and visitors at front door.
- Create written documentation, including logbook entries, incident reports and progress notes.
- Manage inventory for supplies, maintain fire safety drills and logs, and provide emergency first aid/CPR assistance/NARCAN when needed.
- Assist with inspections and audits.
- Escort clients and serve meals as needed.
- Help maintain an orderly and clean facility.
- Patrol residence and report any observations leading to loss or damage of property.
- Monitor resident activities and act to restore order if needed.
- Make out reports as required.
- Act as escort for residents.
- Screen calls and visitors.
- Monitor the self-administration of medication.
- Complete incident reports in AWARDS.
- Prepare the following as needed: laundry schedule, census update, case assignments, roll call sheet, and client probation list.
- Help maintain transition and facilities logs.
- Monitor roll call sheet.
- Wake clients in the morning.
- Make periodic inspections of clients’ rooms.
- Provide emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed.
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma/ GED Required
- Computer literacy
- NYC Fire Safety Cert.
- Bilingual preferred
- Exp working with MICA homeless preferred
- Security guard license preferred

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
