Overview:
As a Community Manager at BeAlive, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing and expanding our Hunting & Shooting Sports community, initially focusing on the Shoot United brand and progressively encompassing other brands within the BeAlive portfolio. This community extends across both online and offline realms, encompassing public perception. Your role involves engaging diverse audiences through various platforms, including online forums, social media channels, live events, podcasts/vodcasts, and more, reaching audiences wherever they may be. As a Community Manager, you will oversee the digital community, cultivate and engage our audiences, craft brand strategies for film, events, and marketing initiatives, and collaborate closely with BeAlive's Brand Teams to ensure the success of events and communications. Moreover, you will manage your budget, which covers paid media, events, and travel. As each brand flourishes, you will serve as a face and voice of BeAlive's hunting and Shooting Sports initiatives.
Additionally, this role will involve integrating digital assets, bolstering brand awareness, participating in marketing campaigns, spearheading digital activation projects, and assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of digital channels.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute community events, campaigns, and strategies to cultivate and nurture the brand's outward-facing community.
- Formulate and oversee digital marketing strategies for new initiatives and campaigns, leveraging a range of tools (e.g., website, email, social media, blogs, podcasts/vodcasts, giveaways).
- Create, schedule, and publish compelling social media content, including assets tailored for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and more.
- Develop strategies for film premieres and/or content launches, including budget allocation for paid advertisements, email campaigns, website copy, articles, and supporting social media content, while collaborating cross-functionally for successful campaign launches.
- Supervise, nurture, and maintain a small team of external relationships.
- Collaborate with your Head of Department to establish an annual budget and manage the paid budget for social and digital ads.
- Monitor, track, report, and set KPIs for audience engagement, growth, social metrics, feedback, and online reviews while staying vigilant about online brand conversations.
- Organize, oversee, and attend both large scale and local community events and activities to amplify brand awareness.
- Collaborate with the Development and Sales departments as opportunities arise.
- Forge relationships with clients, industry professionals, and journalists.
- Keep abreast of digital technology and outdoor industry trends.
- Manage and oversee brand influencer and affiliate programs.
- Research products, services, and current strategies to identify new opportunities.
- Monitor SEO/SEM, marketing, and sales performance metrics to forecast trends.
- Foster robust client relationships through social media interactions, including engagement with other platforms, influencers, and noteworthy individuals connected to BeAlive.
- Establish digital marketing and community engagement best practices.
- Conduct audience intelligence research to inform digital marketing strategy.
- Create email newsletters for brands, facilitating cross-promotion with key partners and organizations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing communications, advertising, or a related field.
- Over 5 years of relevant work experience.
- A portfolio or presentation showcasing past campaigns, work, and successes.
- Comfortable with on-camera appearances for digital content creation, interviews, and live event recordings.
- A proven track record in managing a digital community, developing strategies for brand
- launches, budget management, and executing both large scale and local community events.
- Deep knowledge and experience in the outdoor space, specifically with firearms and ammunition
- Demonstrable experience with SEO/SEM and CRM software.
- Proficiency in implementing and optimizing Google AdWords campaigns.
- Ability to demonstrate audience growth from previous paid media campaigns.
- Solid knowledge of web analytics tools like Google Analytics and Sprout.
- Hands-on experience with graphic design, social media management, and online marketing tools, including video editing and graphic design skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Experience planning and leading community initiatives.
- Proficiency in identifying and tracking relevant KPIs.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
