Summary of Purpose
Oakland Community College is seeking a full-time Construction Management instructor who will participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs, courses, and other experiences that will directly result in the educational growth of the students and support advancement of the strategic plan of the program and college.
This is an Annual Contract position beginning in mid-August 2024 at our Auburn Hills Campus., This contract is renewable each year up to a maximum of five years.
$61,216 - $69,467 Starting Base Salary ($61,216 - $110,469 full salary range).
Potential for additional pay:
Overload - 60% over base

Minimum Education and Experience
EDUCATION:
Master's degree or higher in Construction Management (or related field);
OR
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management (or related field) and five years of recent work experience in the area;
OR
Associate's degree in Construction Management (or related field) and eight years of recent work experience in the area.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
Certified Construction Manager (CCM) Certification preferred
Certified Professional Constructor (CPC) Certification preferred
OSHA30 Construction Safety Card preferred
EXPERIENCE: Two years of recent experience teaching Construction Management courses preferred

- Experience and interest in teaching Construction Management courses
- Experience in curriculum development for college-level lecture and laboratory components
- Willingness to work nights
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff

- Willingness to coordinate procuring adjuncts, adjunct sections and books
- Interest in reviewing course materials and lab manuals for adoption for Construction Management program use
- Recent participation in professional development related to Construction Management and/or teaching
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Ability to work as a team player in a multi-cultural, diverse working environment
- Interest in participating in campus and college committees
- Experience working jointly with laboratory support staff
- Proficiency using learning management systems (e.g., D2L or Canvas) for course delivery and/or assessment
