Professional who uses quantitative methods to help the Bank make decisions and lower risk. The model owner should have experience in using, managing, or developing models that perform ID verification, Know Your Customer (KYC), and Fraud, as well as experience with data aggregator tools that assist the bank in account decisioning and processes. They should have strong data analytics skills.
Responsibilities- Develop statistical models
- Analyze and clean large volumes of data to prepare for use in a model.
- Develop and maintain model documentation
- Conduct monitoring activities such as back-testing, sensitivity analysis, and scenario testing
- Implement model change management process
- Assist in preparing mitigation plans to close or mitigate validation findings
- Assist in providing all necessary information, data and documentation for validation activities
- Perform code updates, maintenance, debugging, and testing of existing models.
- Assist line of business with any technical or support questions
- Document model findings, performance and communicate results to leaders and project stakeholders.
- Train users and other team members on how to use and maintain the models.
- Own and manage:
- MANTL platform
- MaxMyInterest
- FIS BizChex and QualiFile models
- Other designated models
- Contribute analytic support to executive management of the retail and small business banking team
- Perform Operation Risk Review as defined
- Potentially involved in projects such as product development, risk management, and defining customer personas
Job Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field
- Proficiency in at least one widely used programming language preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in econometric modeling and statistical analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience analyzing bank data for Model Development
- Knowledgeable in artificial intelligence and machine-learning techniques
- 2-5 years of relevant experience
- Master's degree in a quantitative field
- Strong Time Series Analysis and Forecasting skills are a plus
