Communications Training Officer

Responsibilities:

Medical Telecommunicator-Communications Training Officer (CTO) for Mobile Health, with 2 years of medical dispatch experience within RWJBH. The CTO will be tasked with educating and onboarding of the new medical telecommunicators.The CTO is responsible for answering 9-1-1 telephone calls and other telephone calls, screening them according to the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED) ProQA system and dispatching the appropriate resources. The CTO will utilize a Computer Aided Dispatch system, radio communications system, and telephone system to communicate with units in the field, update their status on assignment, and ensure the safety of all personnel. This position requires superior communication skills and customer service skills.

Qualifications:

The required certifications are:

__High School diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree preferred

__American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)

__IAED or APCO or NECI Basic Telecommunicator (BTC)

__IAED Emergency Medical Dispatcher-Advanced (EMD-A)

__HAZMAT Awareness

__CBRNE/WMD Awareness
