Internship Project Description:
Are you a driven and aspiring communications professional eager to make a meaningful impact? Do you love technology and helping people find better, more efficient ways to communicate with each other?
Join the Denver Water communications team this summer to lead an exciting project and get hands-on experience in the many facets of communication, including writing and editing, tours and presentations, videography, social media, content generation and more.
You'll lead a project that will impact the effectiveness of our employee intranet and help employees across Denver Water become better communicators.
With support from the communications team, you'll apply your technical acumen and communication and writing expertise to develop a training program to teach employees how to effectively use the employee intranet to communicate. In addition to creating a technical training program, you'll also develop materials to help educate employees on tips and best practices for writing effective messages.

About Denver Water
During the Summer Intern Program, there are THREE (3) REQUIRED ATTENDANCE EVENTS. All interns must participate.
Intern positions do not come with any benefits other than holiday pay (if the employee worked for more than 20 days before the holiday) and Accrued Paid Sick Leave. Interns and Denver Water Temps accrue one hour of Accrued Paid Sick Leave per 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year per the Colorado Healthy Families and Workplaces Act.

- Sophomore, Junior or Senior student majoring in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Organizational Development, or a related field.
Experience Requirements
- Preferred knowledge of technology/software (i.e. web content management systems, Power Point, Word, video).
