The Company:
ADEC’s services revolve around one mission: Helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities find informed choice and possibility. We serve more than 1,200 individuals each year through more than a dozen programs, ranging from music therapy for children to supervised group living for adults.
The Position:
The Communications Intern will support community outreach efforts, with a direct reporting relationship with ADEC's Community Outreach Manager. The Communications Intern is responsible for graphic design support including monthly graphics, podcast rebrand campaign and more, assist in fundraising efforts through tracking, reporting and event support, gathering content for publications, Social Media and historical purposes, and supporting donor communications. Interests in marketing, videography, photography is a plus.
Job Requirements:
- Maintain Integrity and confidentiality of information shared during internship.
- Onboard new volunteers and volunteer groups including schools, businesses and community members.
- Participate in event planning and implementation including tracking RSVPs, managing vendor arrangements and running the event with other staff.
- Reconcile events to ensure vendor invoices, guest bills and sponsorships settled.
- Assist in graphic design projects including gathering content through photography, videography, interviews, etc.
- Assist in the creation of ADEC's monthly newsletter.
- Collaborate on branding, projects and overall communication.
This Internship is paid. As a communications Intern, you will be working two 5 hours shifts a week with the Internship lasting 4-6 months.
