Schedule - These are (32) hour work week shifts, on-location. (Not a remote opportunity.)
- 1st Shift: (1) 32 hours, 7am-3:30pm, Off Tues-Thurs.
- 2nd Shift: (1) 40 hours, 3pm-11:30pm, Off Fri-Sat.
- 3rd Shift: (2) 40 hours, 10pm-6:30am & 11pm-7:30am
Job Summary:The Facilities Communication Specialist will be responsible for receiving information from hospital staff and visitors concerning repairs and unsafe conditions that need repair.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Receive calls from customers and facility staff and relay information by page, phone, or overhead intercom.
• Announce fire drills and activations, all information, and emergency codes via intercom.
• Report elevator issues and/or entrapments to contractor and facilities.
• Enter all work-orders into Maximo and forward information to mechanics.
• Support Safety Technicians by answering calls when technicians are out of the office and check emergency
phones in elevators.
• Conduct fire watch in construction areas inside the hospital when life safety protocol is initiated. Record and
report findings to the safety department.
• Alarm monitoring by monitoring all emergency alerts for the fire system, all medical gas alarms, hospital
infant alarms and pneumatic tubing system alarms.
• Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or recipient of GED required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Vocational or technical training or degree preferred
- Minimum of 1-year in customer service experience
- I year of multi-phone line or call center experience
- Must have basic computer skills, office, and telephone etiquette
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
