JOB SUMMARY
The Communications Assistant will support and assist in developing and executing marketing and communications activities across multiple platforms, with a focus on social media, content creation, production, and distribution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
- Assist in writing and editing content for various communication channels, including client alerts, blogs, internal newsletters, press releases, media briefs, and social media.
- Create content for and update the firm's social media accounts.
- Assist in social media ad campaigns and tracking campaign performance.
- Monitor and manage analytics reporting for email marketing, social media, PR, editorial calendars, surveys, and nominations.
- Respond to general communication-related issues in a timely manner.
- Provide general administrative support to the marketing team, such as managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and maintaining databases.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information and ensure accurate and consistent messaging.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in communications and marketing.
- Contribute to the firm’s overall brand and marketing strategy.
- Support the Communications and Marketing teams' efforts as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Strong writing, editing, and research skills; the ability to synthesize information and accurately capture it in a written narrative.
- Superior attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects, establish priorities and meet deadlines.
- Understanding and awareness of social media channels and strategies
- A self-starter and team player, able to accept direction yet work independently
- Excellent organizational skills and motivation to work individually and as a team in a fast-paced environment
- High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of AP Style and email marketing tools (Concep a plus)
- Basic knowledge of HTML
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Communications, Journalism, or Digital Media majors preferred.
Experience:
- This is an entry-level position. Prior experience in marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- Experience with content creation, social media management, and marketing campaigns is a plus.
