Key Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting, editing, and proofreading communications materials, including press releases, blog posts, and newsletters
- Manage and update the organization's social media accounts, including creating and scheduling content
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and target audience to support communication strategies
- Assist in maintaining media databases and developing relationships with media contacts
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and maintaining files and records
- Assist in analyzing and reporting on the effectiveness of communication initiatives
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of social media platforms and their best practices
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Detail-oriented with strong proofreading and editing skills
