POSITION SUMMARY:
The Video Editor Advertising Technician works within the Menards Broadcast Marketing team to edit video and audio for Menards TV and radio commercials; along with other broadcast projects. This position is located in Eau Claire, WI.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Pre and post production of all TV and radio commercials, and in house video/audio projects (editing, scripting, product research, coordination with videographers, vendors and buying staff)
- Non-linear video and audio editing
- Creation of motion graphics
- Product research, script writing, storyboarding
- Recording of voice-over audio in the studio
- Manage approval workflows and make necessary changes
- Export video and audio files for distribution
- Collaborate with videography team members, and other marketing and merchandising teams
Skills/Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor Degree in Visual Communication, Advertising or Communications; an emphasis in Videography, Broadcast or Electronic Media or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year professional video editing experience (preferably Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Premiere, After Effects, and Audition)
- Digital audio editing professional experience
- Experience creating titles, motion graphics, and animations
- Strong knowledge of color correction and color grading techniques
- Chroma-key, masking, and rotoscoping experience
- Photo editing and retouching experience helpful
- Thorough understanding of video formats and codecs for broadcast TV and the Web
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Adobe Premiere, Audition, After Effects
- Microsoft Office
- Must be hardworking; a self-motivator
- Must be CREATIVE! Can’t be
- Must be accurate and have a good eye for details
- Advertising copywriting experience desired
- Good communication and organization skills required
- Must work within designated normal office hours - Monday-Friday, 40-45 hours/week -at the Corporate Office in Eau Claire, WI (remote work is not offered)
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States, presently and in the future, without sponsorship
