Commercial Solar Estimator

Position Overview:

With over 43 years of expertise in the Solar Industry, Aztec Solar specializes in installations for solar electric, solar water heating, and solar pool heating in both residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate for this position should thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously. Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• - Review bid packages, organize project opportunities, and assess scope documents.
• - Collaborate with General Contractors, Clients, and internal project teams to formulate accurate responses to requests.
• - Draft scope and Request for Proposal (RFP) responses.
• - Develop estimates for project quotes and job costing.
• - Conduct job walks and generate Request for Information (RFI) as needed for project estimates.
• - Evaluate past project budgets to enhance accuracy in estimates and tools.
• - Collaborate with management to develop more robust estimating tools.
• - Solicit RFPs for both public and private projects.

Qualifications and Skills:

• - Experience in electrical construction and contracting projects (Commercial Solar Experience is a plus).
• - 5+ years of experience in designing projects or developing estimates for electrical solar projects.
• - Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• - Proficiency in MS Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.
• - Detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to prioritize tasks effectively while remaining organized.

• - Motivated problem solver with 3-5 years of relevant electrical construction experience (estimating focus preferred).
• - Experience with EV Chargers, Solar, and Battery Storage is preferred.
• - Thrives in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment with strict deadlines.
• - Excellent communicator who is organized, detail-oriented, and efficient.

Compensation: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
