Job Description
As a Commercial Lines Account Manager, you will manage a book of commercial insurance business and provide excellent service to clients. You will analyze insurance plans, make recommendations, and act as a liaison between clients and insurance carriers. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to resolve issues, and developing new business. Duties and Responsibilities
- Make major decisions on books of commercial insurance business independently
- Work closely with Producers on client service, marketing, and renewals
- Oversee preparation and implementation of transactions and paperwork
- Analyze plans and make recommendations based on clients' needs
- Act as liaison between clients and carriers to resolve issues
- Meet retention goals and develop new business from existing accounts
- Prepare reports and oversee Account Associates as needed
- Attend insurance continuing education and training
- 3+ years experience in commercial insurance account management
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency with MS Office and agency management systems
- Licensed in required lines and states
- College degree preferred
- Advanced insurance designations like AAI, ARM, or CIC
- Experience in a brokerage environment
