Due to growth, we are currently looking to add a new Field Service Technician to our team. We offer an awesome benefit package, company van, all needed tools, and all expenses paid for travel.
Hours: Full-time 40+ a week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Travels to and from job sites, as assigned by manager.
- Makes travel arrangements using company approved travel provider/system.
- Conducts facility site inspections as required to determine the feasibility of the chamber installation and/or connections.
- Informs the customer of their facility responsibilities prior to and during installation.
- Installs environmental chambers and their associated components.
- Brazes/solders refrigeration piping and uses hand, power, and air tools.
- Starts up and performs diagnostic testing of chambers and associated components.
- Trains customers in the proper operation and maintenance of their equipment.
- Troubleshoots, repairs and adjusts refrigeration systems, electrical and control systems.
- Understands, uses, configures and calibrates controllers and recorders.
- Evacuates refrigeration systems as necessary.
- Charges/recharges refrigeration systems and fills out refrigerant usage tickets.
- Reads and understands refrigeration and electrical prints and drawings.
- Checks in at least once a day to update manager on the progress of the job and to get any schedule updates or changes.
- Coordinates and supervises on-site activities when contractors are used to help on large installations.
- Records and approves contractor hours on large installations.
- Completes expense reports for all expenditures.
- Completes and submits Service Reports at the completion of each job; this includes travel hours, labor hours, full details of work performed, if work is complete or not and signature of the customer.
- Receives changes needed on a system approved by engineering.
- Performs calibration service (per ISO/IEC 17025 requirements as needed, adhering to ISO/IEC 17025 Quality Management System), and maintaining accuracy and clarity of customer data.
- Prepares for the next assignment by researching what must be done to complete the job.
- Reads manuals on unfamiliar equipment to gain a better understanding.
- Assists production as needed upon request.
Requirements:
- Extensive travel is required (all expenses paid).
- Minimum of two years college or trade school or five years of experience in the industry.
- Previous experience brazing/soldering/welding ferrous and non-ferrous materials, electrical controls troubleshooting, refrigerant charging and recovery, and customer service.
- Valid Drivers License.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Type 1 and Type 2 EPA certification in refrigerant recovery.
- Must be able to read a tape measure.
- Basic computer skills required; use of email, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel.

Pay: $38.00 - $52.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
