A little about theChief Financial Officer (CFO) position: As CFO you will serve as an integral member of the senior management team. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) plans, organizes and directs the financial planning functions of the agency; oversees and directs accounting, auditing, budget, payroll, risk management, fleet, facilities and IT functions, development, and communication functions; represents the agency with other organizations and government agencies while performing a variety of complex fiscal and analysis assignments all while providing leadership and management that reflects our agencies Mission, Vision and Core Values.
QUALIFICATIONS (Applicant should have experience in the following areas):
- CPA or post-secondary degree in a field related to business or financial management and ten years of business experience in a position of substantial responsibility in financial operations, systems analysis and design, and general business management, preferably in the non-profit sector
- Extensive analytical, financial accounting, financial resources, and corporate finance project management experience
- Extensive work with computer applications, financial/accounting software, and electronic billing systems
- Familiarity with Iowa Medicaid rules is highly desired
- Must possess a demonstrated track record in meeting compliance and best-practice financial, investment, and/or accounting standards
- Must be familiar with—or is willing to learn about—a variety of charitable-giving products and approaches
- Applicant must maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is acceptable from a risk management perspective
