Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our team! SGS, LLC is an Oklahoma based General Contractor / Design-Builder. We currently have openings for qualified personnel on a new Commercial Construction project located in Fort Hood, Texas.
Responsibilities:
- Involved in all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
- Ability to plan for and assign resources as applicable for projects
- Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
- Management/Enforcement of SGS’s Safety Program and Security Policies
- Coordination and scheduling of all Subcontractors and/or Vendors
- Recruitment and efficient management of all on-site SGS workmen
- Maintaining inventory and efficient management control of tools and equipment
- Conduct regular progress and/or coordination meetings with trade subcontractors
- Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, government officials, etc.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
Qualifications:
- Must have minimum of 7 years of experience as a Superintendent on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) projects
- Must have current OSHA 30-Hour and CPR/First Aid certifications
- Must be familiar with requirements of the EM 385 1-1, 2014 version
- 40Hr EM385 Certification and 24Hr Competent Person Certification; preferred
- Knowledge and experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, requires applicants to be of able body to assist in performing certain portions of the work, and to manage and schedule subcontractors
- Experience in working with and understanding Primavera project schedules is a plus
- Experience with USACE RMS software
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of construction means and methods
