PBF Energy Inc. (NYSE:PBF) is one of the largest independent refiners in North America, operating through its subsidiaries, oil refineries and related facilities. We are seeking a talented Commercial Accounting Specialist to join our team as a pivotal member that would play a key role here at PBF Energy. This role would be located onsite at our Company headquarters in Parsippany, NJ.
This position will provide day to day accounting functions for the Commercial Accounting operations group. This role is crucial in the inventory valuation calculation and analysis for the Company and its decision making process.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• LIFO Inventory valuation calculation and analysis of its financial impact on the Company's results.
• RINS and AB32 calculations and analysis. Highly complex regulations that are material to Company's financials. Constant tracking and examination are required to make sure obligations are calculated correctly
• Analysis and recording of derivative calculations involving complex mark to market accounting.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and borrowing base certificates prepared by accounting associates.
• Preparation of all monthly close journal entries and reconciliations related to refined products for a particular refinery.
• Preparation, analysis and review of weekly forecasts with high exposure to upper management in setting expectations for monthly close results.
• Preparation of ad hoc and other strategic analyses/projects at the request of management (i.e., preparation of analysis often times are from scratch and re-created from historical results).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, CPA or CPA applicant preferred
• SAP experience preferred
• Must be proficient in Excel and Word
• RightAngle experience preferred
• 2+ years' experience in accounting management. Oil or Chemical industry preferred
• Possess effective communication skills both verbal and written
• Working knowledge of accounting theory and principles (GAAP)
• Strong analytical and accounting and math skills and organizational skills
• Must be able to meet deadlines and adjust to multiple work demands
