Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including financial statement preparation, balance sheet reconciliation, and regulatory reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate accounting and possess excellent financial acumen.

Duties:
- Perform double entry bookkeeping to maintain accurate financial records
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Conduct regular balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies
- Assist with the preparation of regulatory reports in compliance with securities laws and regulations
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing clients, tracking payments, and resolving any outstanding issues
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial data for budgeting and forecasting purposes
- Assist with the year-end audit process by providing necessary documentation and support
- Maintain a thorough understanding of accounting principles and stay updated on any changes or developments in the field

Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of corporate accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in double entry bookkeeping and financial statement preparation
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and regulatory reporting
- Familiarity with debits, credits, and general ledger entries
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis
- Strong analytical skills to identify trends, variances, and potential issues
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software applications
