Job Description
Attention, Engineering Students! Are you looking for part-time work while you go to school? Or over the summer? Do you like learning about “making stuff”? Do you know how to – or do you want to learn how to – use a micrometer and other measuring equipment? Do you enjoy the art of making sure things are accurate and precise? Would you like to make $17.50 per hour – anywhere from 15 to 25 hours per week – setting your schedule for whatever hours are most convenient for you? Do you want to experience what it’s like to work in a real manufacturing environment? Then call us!
A manufacturer of precision metal components in North Brunswick is seeking Quality Inspectors on a short-term basis – from now until approximately the end of the summer. These roles could be broken down into one position from now until the end of the school year, and another position over the summer, as these timelines work better for students.
These inspectors/quality specialists will analyze high-precision components for scientific instruments to determine if they meet a variety of specifications. This is perfect for a College Student seeking part-time work (15 to 25 hours per week) for a short period of time (two to five months). This position could also be for someone who is just interested in this type of role and is looking for part-time work.
The hours for this role are completely flexible. Inspectors/specialists will use micrometers, calipers, gauges and other measuring instruments (possibly using CMM and optical comparator) to confirm that components meet specifications. They will also log their findings, discuss remediation and learn more about the manufacturing environment and the engineering behind these components.
If you are interested, please submit your contact information and expression of interest to Elissa. We look forward to hearing from you!
