AIM Academy’s College & Career Counselor's primary role is to guide students and families through potential avenues for postsecondary study. Working closely with AIM’s Director of College & Career Counseling, this individual engages with junior and senior families, assisting students in exploring, applying to, and selecting the right college.
This individual also plays a key role in crafting a college readiness program for grades nine through twelve. At AIM, this includes teaching a semester-long, ninth grade career exploration course, helping students map out their academic journeys and goals, and assisting the Director of College & Career Counseling with ACT testing, AIM’s junior year College 101 class, and senior year dual enrollment.
Since AIM Academy is dedicated to the work of equity and diversity, candidates should value engaging in open dialogue, questioning, confronting assumptions, and attuning to all voices. We invite you to read of “Equity and Diversity Statement” on our website at www.aimpa.org
