Collections Specialist (Temp Role 3 To 6 Months)

The Collections Specialistis a key role, responsible for tracking and monitoring the past due accounts and invoices of company clients, contacting clients to request payment, and collecting outstanding company revenues. The ideal candidate is a reliable, trustworthy individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment where both collaboration and autonomy are valued. 

Job Responsibilities

• Consistently work to track and obtain outstanding company revenues
• Follows up on invoices submitted to ensure prompt and timely payment and escalates issues, as necessary
• Makes calls to troubleshoot payment discrepancies and establish resolution
• Documents, in detail, phone calls, phone number, person spoken to, and call details on a consistent basis
• Identifies any overpayments and/or duplicate payments and investigates and resolves accordingly
• Researches missing invoices/payments
• Processes refund requests, in accordance with policies and procedures
• Send past due or breach of contract notices for ensuring payments are made in a timely manner
• Improve process and procedure currently utilized to improve DSOs
• Other duties may be assigned

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of progressive experience
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• High level of customer service support

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Deltek Vision ERP
• A/E/C industry experience
• FDCPA law knowledgeable
