About the Role
As a Collection specialist, you'll have a pivotal role within our team. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the collection efforts and engage with both internal and external contacts. An ideal candidate would be self-confident, well-organized, assertive, and adept at handling multiple sets of data simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Underwriting Billing and CS teams on delinquencies and renewals
- Perform and own the collection efforts via phone, email and IM.
- Monitor the portfolio daily to anticipate and prevent collection issues
- Monitor daily accounts receivable activity and payment risk exposure
- Negotiate and implement settlements of collection accounts
- Assist with monthly closings and financial reporting
- Work and manage external collection agencies on submitted files
- Performing back office and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations
About You
- Minimum 2 years of Credit and Debt collection experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business is preferred.
- Spanish Speaking (a Plus)
- Proven capability in loan account reconciliations and settlements
- Exceptional judgment, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficient problem-solving and analytical capabilities
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Proficiency in navigating various digital platforms and tools for data analysis.
