Collections Specialist

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

The Collection Specialist provides collection support on behalf of the company to ensure payment is received for goods and services offered to clients. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, interpersonal and organizational skills.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Draft correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identify delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contact delinquent accountholders to request payment.
• Process start/stop services; calculate proration, update contract billing, add fees and credits, invoice final bill.
• Notify customers of stop service.
• Call and email customers with declined credit card transactions.
• Update NetSuite and Ebiz with relative notes and credit card information.
• Open and distribute mail.
• Reconcile daily cash drawers; research discrepancies, make deposits, process deposits in NetSuite.
• Post AR payments; make deposits; process deposits in NetSuite.
• Assist with billing on the first of the month, including weekends and holidays.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
• Minimum of 1 year serving in a collections role.
• Minimum of 2 years serving in a customer support role.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods in a stationary position while working at a desk and on a computer.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
