Collection Specialist

Prior healthcare experience not required.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Communicating with consumers to help them arrange payment and get back on track with their finances
• Working with hospital and physician accounts which includes- self-pay, Worker’s Comp, PIP & insurance accounts, among others
• Building rapport and maintaining positive consumer relations by engaging and offering solutions
• Enhancing the customer experience through modern and industry-leading technology
• Maintenance and follow-up of assigned accounts in route

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A year or more of collections or healthcare industry experience is a plus
• Willingness to thrive in a growing organization and adapt quickly to change
• Bilingual a plus!

• FDCPA, HIPAA
• Communication skills and collection techniques needed to effectively collect bad debt accounts
• Aspects of medical billing procedures & terminology
• Education required to take certification exam to become a Certified Collector through ACA International
• Continuous training and education as industry/regulations change
