The City of Seminole is seeking a part-time Code Enforcement Officer to work twenty (20) hours per week. The work hours are Monday through Friday 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. This is a professional position responsible for a variety of inspections to ensure compliance with and identification of violations of City codes, ordinances and regulations. Work involves active participation in related Code Enforcement activities and compliance with environmental restrictions.
Salary range $19.37 to $29.06/ hour.
Qualifications:
This position requires a high school diploma/ equivalent, valid Florida driver’s license, and knowledge of municipal code regulations. Must have the ability to enforce municipal codes/ ordinances; receive and successfully address complaints; and must be able to perform assigned duties independently. The successful candidate must possess the ability to become certified as a Code Enforcement Officer within twelve (12) months of date of employment. Experience in municipal Code Enforcement or law enforcement preferred. The city will conduct a background investigation of the candidate selected for the position.
