Are you a seasoned CNC Machinist & Programmer who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment? We are a leading manufacturing company seeking a talented individual to join our team and help us maintain our reputation for precision and excellence in our industry. This position involves working with computer numeric controlled (CNC) heavy machinery from setup to operation to produce parts and tools from metal, plastic or other materials.
Responsibilities:

• Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models to input into the computerized machine.
• Planning the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job.
• Setting up and operating CNC machines and tools, ensuring they are calibrated and well-maintained.
• Translating instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
• Programming the CNC machine tool paths and generating G and M codes for the machine's controller.
• Calculating dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers.
• Monitoring and adjusting machine feed and speed, change cutting tools, or adjust machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if machines malfunction.
• Checking and maintaining machinery daily to ensure functionality.
• Adhering to all safety standards and protocols.
• Working with CAM/CAD software to create detailed, precision-based designs and models.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a CNC Machinist & Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
• Expert level knowledge of the operating characteristics and maintenance needs of a wide variety of CNC machines.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical documents and drawings.
• Excellent knowledge of machine tooling and cutting.
• Working knowledge of G and M machine codes.
• Proficiency in using CAM/CAD software.
• Exceptional skill in detecting and troubleshooting programming errors or issues with the machine tool path.
• Excellent math skills, with an emphasis on calculating dimensions and tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; certificate or diploma in engineering or relevant discipline is a plus.
