Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mid-Level 3D Machinist Programmer with a solid engineering background and expertise in machining operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of tool cutting technology, speeds and feeds, materials, as well as proficiency in CAM software programming, such as MasterCam and Geo Path.
Responsibilities:
1. CAM Programming: Utilize MasterCam and Geo Path software to develop and optimize CNC programs for 3D machining operations.
2. Tool Selection and Optimization: Identify appropriate tools based on material properties and machining requirements. Optimize cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for efficient and precise machining.
3. Interpret Engineering Designs: Interpret and analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to develop machining strategies and programs.
4. CNC Machine Operation: Set up and operate CNC machines to execute programmed machining operations accurately and efficiently.
5. Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure finished parts meet design specifications and quality standards.
6. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate machining processes, tools, and techniques to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
7. Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other team members to troubleshoot issues, optimize processes, and achieve project goals.
8. Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of machining processes, including programming codes, tooling setups, and process parameters.
Requirements:
1. Education: Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. We will consider a combination of experience and education for the correct candidate.
2. Experience: Proven experience as a 3D Machinist Programmer with a minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing or machining environment.
3. CAM Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in CAM software, specifically MasterCam and Geo Path, with the ability to create complex 3D machining programs.
4. Machining Knowledge: In-depth understanding of tool cutting technology, speeds and feeds, materials, and machining techniques.
5. CNC Machine Operation: Hands-on experience in setting up and operating CNC machines for precision machining.
6. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot machining issues and optimize processes.
7. Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure precision and accuracy in machining operations.
8. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
