OVERVIEW
Cadrex is searching for a CNC Machinist III who will play a critical role in our manufacturing process by setting up, operating, and programming advanced CNC machines. You will work with a variety of materials and complex parts, ensuring they meet strict quality standards and production deadlines. This position requires expertise in CNC machining, the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and a dedication to producing exceptional work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and prepare CNC machines, including tooling selection, fixture setup, and programming, to produce precision components
- Operate CNC machines to fabricate parts, monitoring machine performance, making adjustments, and ensuring the production of accurate and high-quality components
- Develop and edit CNC programs using G-code and CAM software, optimizing toolpaths for efficiency and quality
- Conduct in-process and final inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications
- Maintain and troubleshoot CNC machines and tooling, performing routine maintenance and minor repairs as needed
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce cycle times
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues
- Maintain accurate records of machine setup, production data, and quality checks, and report any deviations or issues to the supervisor
- Provide training and guidance to junior machinists as necessary to enhance their skills and knowledge
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist, with a focus on complex CNC machining operations
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming using G-code and CAM software
- Experience with a variety of CNC machines and controls
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machining issues
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality components
- Understanding of safety protocols and a dedication to maintaining a safe work environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
EDUCATION
- Highschool Diploma
- 2-year technical certification or equivalent experience
