Manual Machinist - 3+ Years Experience Required

Rockford Manufacturing Group (RMG) is an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of wire processing machinery that is sold worldwide. We are looking for a Machinist to machine varying (size/shape) metal stock. Manual Machiningexperience isrequired. Very clean plant and working environment.

The Machinist will set up and operate lathes, Bridgeport mills, radial drill, surface grinder, turret lathes, cutoff saws, etc.

Manual Machinist Responsibilities:

• Manual Machinist
• Set up and run various manual machines within our shop.
• Work in a very safe manner.
• Understand and select correct tooling
• Produce parts within required tolerances and specifications efficiently
• Review set up sheets and specifications to determine set up procedure and machining sequence.
• Measure workpiece for conformance to specification using measuring instruments. Must verify part for accuracy to the print.
• Must be able to read prints
• keep work area clean and safe.
• Willing to work OT if needed

Manual Machinist Qualifications:

• Must have manual machinery experience
• High School diploma or GED.
• Physical demands include walking, carrying, reaching, standing and stooping.
• Dependable

Manual Machinist Experience:

· Forklift experience a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 46 per week
