Cnc Machinist (40 Hours Weekly + Overtime)

Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Wellbore Integrity Solutions was established by industry veterans with extensive experience in the wellbore integrity (Fishing & Remedial) market space and global operating experience in oilfield services, manufacturing and E&P. Through the assets and technologies WIS acquires, we will provide wellsite services aimed at optimizing and extending the life of oil, gas and geothermal wells. These services will include a wide range of well intervention services that extend from fishing and remedial to slot recovery, coiled tubing to final well abandonment and more.

Primary Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (mill and/or lathe) with minimal supervision. Familiarity with Mazak, Fanuk, Okuma and Haas Controls. Ability to make tooling offset changes and minor program edit changes if needed, with the support of in-house programming department.
• Monitor controls and make necessary adjustments to achieve product specs and change cutting tools.
• Read dimensions and tooling instructions from work orders and blueprints.
• Verify conformance of machined parts to product specs.
• Load and unload material and align material to specs.
• Plan and perform machine operations which require complicated set ups, troubleshooting with a high degree of accuracy.
• Familiarity with machines controls such as Fanuc, Mazak, HEIDENHAIN and or Siemens. Proficient in one and adaptable to in-house control.
• Edit program as needed to achieve conformant machined components.
• Maintain traceability of machined components.
• Handle special projects as assigned.
• Follow company regulations for a safe and healthy workspace.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 7 years’ related experience preferred
• Knowledge of machines and products manufactured required
• Shop math a must
• Must be able to be on call and work with minimum notice
• Must be able to read blueprints, technical documents, drawings, and diagrams

1st and 2nd Shift Availability – (eligible for 9% shift premium)
