Overview:
We seek a skilled CNC Lathe and Mill Machinist with experience in the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of CNC machining processes, including reading and understanding programs, selecting appropriate tooling, and ensuring quality control throughout the production process. This position requires someone who is not merely a button-pusher but rather a knowledgeable professional capable of operating, editing programs, and setting up machining operations effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and comprehend CNC programs to effectively operate lathe and mill machines.
- Edit CNC programs as necessary to optimize machining processes and ensure accuracy.
- Proficiently set up machining operations, including selecting and installing appropriate tooling.
- Perform tool setting and ensure proper alignment and calibration of tools for each machining operation.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the machining process to ensure parts meet specifications and quality standards.
- Document and maintain records of machining processes, adjustments, and quality control measures.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in CNC machining preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in this kind of positions.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding CNC programs and blueprints.
- Experience in editing CNC programs to optimize machining processes.
- Demonstrated ability to perform quality control checks and maintain high standards of precision and accuracy.
Location: Houston TX.
Shift: Day shift
Salary: $22-32 hourly (Depends on experience) OTE
