General Position Summary:
The position of CNC Machinist I - II is part of a growing team and requires exceptional critical thinking, time management, and communication skills, an ability to handle complex machines and tools, and a willingness to lead by example in the workplace. This position is responsible for setting up and operating three or more machines verifying that the parts are to print. During production, you must monitor the machinery and conduct regular quality checks to ensure they are running properly and that the parts are being produced according to specifications. Accuracy is crucial to our production, so all candidates must pay attention to detail and be extremely focused on their work.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities Are But Not Limited To:
- Loading and unloading of material
- Inspects and preps material for the machines
- Use of measuring tools to verify parts conform to print specifications
- Replacement of worn machine tooling
- Offsetting tooling to make parts are within print tolerance
- Dispose of material wastes
- Maintain machine fluid levels
- Running three or more machines at a time
- Perform mid-level setups without assistance
- Make set-up sheets based on the information stored in the machine programs
- Install and align high-pressure nozzles
- Performs work per AS9100D Quality Standards for this position
- Performs other duties as required
Specific Job Skills:
- Proficient with calipers micrometers and other measuring equipment
- Able to follow instructions provided by set-up sheets and work orders
- An understanding of tooling and its functions
- Able to use the Cartesian method to make tooling offsets
- A good understanding of tooling and its functions to identify needed tooling
- Ability to troubleshoot minor machine and tooling problems
- Machine recovery from a crash or collision
- Honing of collets and guide bushings to repair them

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
