Essential Job Duties

§ Prepare technical drawings and resolve associated mechanical and fabrication problems

§ May participate in designing special modifications to existing machinery or parts

§ Perform a modeling, drafting, or Engineering Change Order (ECO) process with minimum errors

§ Prepare drawings showing the detail and method of assembly of a specific part of machinery and indicating dimensions, fastening methods, and other requirements

§ Create to scale CAD drawings from sketches or parts

§ Maintain drawing database

Other Duties

s Perform cost analysis based on manufacturing capability and design quality

s Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Ÿ High school diploma or an Associate’s degree in drafting or the completion of a technical school drafting program or a combination of education and equivalent experience using computer aided design and drafting (CADD) systems

Ÿ Two years experience using CADD systems

Ÿ Knowledge of traditional drafting techniques, and mechanical drafting

Ÿ Ability to use tables, calculators and computers

Ÿ Proficient in using a computer including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Ÿ Knowledge of drafting standards, mathematics, science, and engineering technology

Ÿ Capable of successfully working on multiple projects concurrently while adhering to deadline schedules

Ÿ Able to interact with Customer Service and Fabricating Departments to create drawings from DXF or DWG files

Ÿ Coordinates work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control

Ÿ Ability to adhere to ethical principles that reflect the highest standards of organizational and individual behavior

Ÿ Possess effective organizational and time management skills, be detail oriented, manage competing priorities for multiple tasks and consistently meet all deadlines

Ÿ Ability to work collaboratively with others and foster cooperative relationships and credibility at all levels of the organization

Ÿ Understanding of Mastercam is a plus
