Cmm Operator

We have immediate openings for top notch CMM operators on 2nd shift.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform in-process and final dimensional inspection using CMM and conventional inspection methods
• Record results in AS9102 form
• Analyze problem parts and suggest potential root case and corrective/preventive actions
• Initiate Non-Conformance Reports
• Alter CMM programs as necessary to clear fixture set up
• Communicate inspection results and status to Manufacturing and Engineering as applicable.
• Generate ideas and suggestions on reducing inspection turnaround time.
• Performance shall be within the guidelines of the company’s policies and procedures

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent; at least one (1) year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent training and experience
• Working knowledge of Coordinate Measuring Machines with DCC controls
• PC DMIS v2010
• Ability to complete surface plate inspection
• ISO9001 experience preferred
• Proficient blueprint GD&T and shop math skills
• Experience in inspection of parts to customer drawings and specification
• Working knowledge of inspection gages (i.e. calipers, micrometers, bore gages, height gages, air gages, radius gages, etc.)
• Knowledge of customer engineering specifications
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt, and apply knowledge in a fast-paced environment
• Read, interpret, and apply customer defined standards and specifications
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as necessary to meet customer expectations
• Ability to read and write English
• Willingness to question anything that doesn’t make sense or may be in error

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
