PATH is seeking candidates passionate about helping others make a positive change in their lives to join our Interdisciplinary team as the Clinician at the RHC location.
ABOUT PATH
Since its foundation in 1984, PATH (People Assisting The Homeless) has pioneered bold and effective approaches to assist people experiencing homelessness. PATH operates services throughout California, connecting our clients to a comprehensive continuum of homelessness prevention, street outreach, employment preparation and placement assistance, individualized case management, supportive services, interim housing, and permanent supportive housing.
ABOUT OUR HPP TEAM
PATH's Housing Partnerships Program provides landlord outreach and engagement services to develop a full range of permanent housing opportunities for individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness. The Department operates within a business model of excellence for our agency and community partners.
WHAT IS A CLINICIAN
As part of the Los Angeles team, the Clinician provides clinical-level supports to interdisciplinary team, promoting mental wellness for clients through direct client assessment and intervention, and providing clinical context and insight in team meetings and case conferencing. Position Responsibilities:
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments as needed per the program's policies and procedures.
- Use clinical training to provide crisis intervention and risk assessment to any program client in need.
- Provide mental health training and consultation to program staff as needed.
- Connect clients to appropriate levels of mental health and SUD treatment, and coordinate care with client's mental health and/or SUD provider.
- Provide temporary mental health counseling until they can be connected to treatment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Licensed with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an LCSW, LMFT or LPCC.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for this position, we require all candidates:
- Master's degree in social work or a closely related field, e.g. masters in psychology, etc.
- Current, valid registration in California as an ASW, AMFT or APCC, or has evidence of a registration application submitted.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Regardless of qualifications, candidates must:
- Have employment eligibility verification
- Have or be able and willing to obtain CPR/First Aid training
- Successfully complete the following as a condition of hire:
- Tuberculosis Test
- Background Screening
- Drug Test
DRIVING
Driving is an essential function of this position. To meet the employment requirements for this role, all candidates must:
- Have reliable transportation
- A valid driver's license
- Proof of insurance and ownership for personal vehicles used during work duties
- The ability to qualify for PATH's insurance coverage

FLEXIBLE WORK
We are a California employer. Therefore, all regular and customary work must be performed within the state. Approval for work outside of the office, does not establish approval for work to be conducted outside of California.
