Role Objective: The Clinical Training Specialist is responsible for supporting the training function for Kooth Behavioral Health Services. Accountable for the delivery of training for all Kooth practitioners, including at induction as well as for ongoing professional development purposes. Contribute to clinical governance processes, such as auditing and clinical support to ensure the service delivery is safe and effective with continuous quality improvement.


Responsibilities:


Training:

  • Supports the Director of Training in ensuring that the training programs for Kooth Practitioners is fit for purpose and in line with local and national requirements.
  • Ensures that the Kooth i-RESPOND clinical framework is fully embedded in the training offered.
  • Leads on the delivery of training across most core areas for Kooth practitioners, with additional training per specialist experience and expertise as agreed with the Director.
  • Actively seeks to develop new skills through shadowing the training of others and continuous professional development opportunities.
  • Supports the Director of training in the gathering of data from a variety of sources (including qualitative feedback and observation) to assess the effectiveness of training and contributing to the development of improvement plans.
  • Supports the Director to develop innovative modes of training delivery to maximize engagement and impact while ensuring that the Practitioner voice is heard when considering new ways of delivering.
  • Contributes to the delivery of any external training within scope of expertise to help strengthen the Kooth brand and reputation.


Analytics, Reporting & Insights:

  • Supports the Director in the preparation of monthly reports to demonstrate team activity and shares insights regarding trends in the data.
  • Responsible for gathering data for all training activities and supports the analysis of this data.


Stakeholder Management:

  • Supports the Director in customer liaison within scope of experience, including meetings with commissioners to explain the training offered and demonstrate the company commitment to excellence through training.
  • Attend conferences both to present the Kooth approach as well as for networking opportunities.
  • Supports the provision of a timely response to data requests from local and national stakeholders as appropriate.


Behavioral Health:

  • Remains up to date with relevant evidence-based practice in the behavioral health domain, generally and within digital health specifically
  • Works closely with the Director in ensuring that the training program is fit for purpose and in line with best practice frameworks.
  • Provides direct support for relevant teams where there is a training element relevant to service user activity, including product, content, and service delivery.
  • Conducts practice audits as part of the overall governance function and with a particular focus on probation audits.


Risk Management:

  • Remains up to date with relevant risk legislation across the organization, working closely with the Directors of Training and Risk to identify and address any gaps.
  • Supports the risk team in delivering the message around the importance of risk management throughout the organization.
  • Contribute to the on-call provision if within scope of experience.
  • Contributes to the implementation of ‘lessons learned’ actions following risk incidents.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree or higher in a relevant field such as Psychology, Social Work, Medicine, Mental Health, or Counseling.
  • Direct experience working within the youth behavioral health sector.
  • 3+ years of experience delivering training in a relevant field, ideally within a digital environment.
  • Clinical license in a related field preferred.

Travel Requirements: This role will require some travel to California and London.

Compensation:$70,000-$80,000 based on experience
