The position requires a minimum of a Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field AND the accompanying certification with certification (CSW, MFT, LCPA) with a preference given to an LCSW, LPCC, and/or CADC with an addiction focus and must have at least two years working with persons that are affected by behavioral health and substance use issues. An individual with Bachelor’s degree with a TCADC will be given consideration as well. The position requires a proven ability in providing clinical services in addition to communications, social casework, and billing requirements with KY Medicaid. Responsible for the overall clinical services to individuals that may have behavioral health and substance use issues. It requires a reasonable combination of the following knowledge and skills; Work with Mental Illness and addiction, use of cognitive behavioral therapies including motivational interviewing and twelve step facilitation skills, use of community resources and ability to serve as an appropriate role model with healthy boundaries. Compassion towards people living with behavioral health and substance use issues, and Hepatitis C and HIV/AIDS. Ability to convey respect to the target populations are critical. Must learn and apply agency, personnel and program policies and procedures. Must have knowledge and understanding of the current treatment modalities and the ability to train and supervise any Social Work Interns.
1. Act as lead clinical consultant to DCBS in cases identified to feature parental addiction
2. Provide assessments and recommendations for care
3. Make direct linkages to treatment, participating in prevention planning, attending court appearances, family team meetings, and coordinating case management with treatment provider and DCBS worker/supervisor.
5. Work closely with the program and agency leadership to monitor intake procedures and ensure on- demand access to quality, licensed treatment provider
6. Collaborate effectively with referral sources and community partners.
7. Participate in regular staff meetings with addiction recovery and behavioral health services to identify current needs and to ensure synchronized service delivery for families.
9. Performance quality improvement (PQI) duties as assigned by supervision & PQI committee.
10. Other duties assigned.
