Laundry Tech - Ft Night Overnight Shift

Friends Home in Kennett, a senior supportive community in Kennett Square, PA, is seeking a Laundry Tech to work Overnight Shift (7:30p – 5:30a), an average of 36 hours/week, including e/o/w. Responsibilities include providing laundry services to the residents of Friends Home in Kennett as well as performing some janitorial duties as assigned. EOE

Responsibilities:

• Complete washing, drying, and ironing of towels, sheets, other linens and resident laundry as assigned
• Keep laundry area maintained in a safe, clean and good working condition, including emptying lint traps after each load of laundry is completed.
• Remove trash from laundry and basement bathrooms and common rooms nightly.
• Clean and disinfect common bathrooms and replenish paper products as assigned
• Disinfect railings, handles, chairs as assigned
• Assist with other janitorial duties as assigned
• Keep cleaning supplies locked in cart or cabinet at all times
• Report any unsafe conditions or pest problems to Maintenance or to the ED
• Politely respond to resident requests or needs (non-medical) in a respectful and polite manner and report any issues to the medical staff.
• Assist in checking residences if unusual situations warrant and require
• Assist medical staff as requested with non-medical or emergent situations.
• Respond to emergency situations as outlined in the EMP
• Maintain confidentiality as defined under HIPAA regulations
• Attend mandatory trainings and in-services as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Ability to frequently stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; bend, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb or kneel; reach with hands and arms; push, pull and lift equipment and items up to 35 pounds.
