SalaryResponsible for maintaining physicians daily appointment schedules. Sets up new appointments for patients and facilitates the process of providing care.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists patients in signing in and queues them in computer schedule.
- Calls all patients one day prior to appointment to confirm appointment date and time.
- Schedules initial and follow-up appointments as directed by Physicians orders.
- Ensures that patients are seen in a timely manner by coordinating with clinic/treatment staff.
- Acts as backup to triage and performs medical assistant duties as required.
- Assists Procedures Scheduler in setting up appointments for scans, x-rays and other ordered procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
High school graduate or equivalent and certificate of completion from an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
