Pay Range: $ 54.38/hr - $ 63.90/hr
**This position will oversee the Total Joint Replacement Program, Spine Program and Robotics Program.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Coordinator is a Registered Nurse responsible for the development, coordination, operational management and clinical performance of service lines such as Total Joint Replacement, Spine and Robotics. The Coordinator is responsible for assisting with program development, marketing and business planning in collaboration with Manager of Quality Clinical Programs and the Medical Director for each program. The Coordinator collaborates with the patient, family, surgeons, and interdisciplinary team to plan, organize, coordinate, and monitor the provision of quality and efficient health care services and resources to promote optimal clinical, financial, and satisfaction outcomes across the continuum of care. The position requires data analysis, presentation, and interpersonal skills to influence different areas of the hospital. The Coordinator leads efforts to achieve and maintain specialty quality certifications/designations such as Blue Distinction and Centers of Excellence. The Coordinator functions as a leader, educator, consultant, clinician, and team member to support a multi-disciplinary team approach to achieve optimal patient experience. The coordinator acts as a liaison between the physicians, nursing staff, allied healthcare professionals, employees, patients, and their families. The Coordinator will also maintain quality standards for responsive service including data management of key quality indicators. The Coordinator will facilitate performance improvement initiatives when opportunities are identified. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
- Two years patient care experience in an acute care setting
- Supervisory or leadership experience
Desired:
- Quality improvement knowledge and experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in nursing
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
- Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing
- Current CPR Certification
Desired:
- Current Orthopedic Nursing Certification
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Must demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgment, strong communication and organizational skills, planning skills, creative problem solving and sensitivity for the patient experience. Knowledge of clinical pathway development. Must have knowledge of regulatory requirements for areas of responsibility to include The Joint Commission standards, Title 22 regulations, and Medicare Conditions of Participation and criteria for Center of Excellence or other specialty designations. Must be able to speak effectively before large and small groups. Ability to communicate in a knowledgeable and articulate manner with physicians and nurses regarding patient status and care required. Ability to work with other department staff and all other hospital personnel in professional, positive, efficient, and tactful manner. Ability to deal with the public (including patient’s visitors) in a professional and tactful manner, as it relates to questions or concerns regarding patient’s conditions, status and care preferred. Ability to interface with all hospital departments so that the resources may be utilized to maximize patient care in an expedient fashion. Must be able to change priorities with the ever-changing patient status and subsequent workloads required. Must possess computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook programs. Must demonstrate efficient organization, communication and planning skills. Demonstrates strong leadership, decision-making and judgment skills. Must be flexible, innovative, and creative in planning and problem solving. Communicates, advises, writes and consults in a professional manner.
