Job description

Under the direction of the Clinical Operations Continuum-EHR Clinical Project Director, Office of Clinical Innovation and Technology, the Program Assistant (PA) will serve as a Clinical Project Analyst for the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Project. The incumbent will focus on obtaining project approvals, increasing departmental readiness for EHR, and training end users on the selected solution. This position will require some travel and will rely heavily on electronic collaboration. The PA will be a critical component of EHR project planning and implementation.
The PA will:

  • Work with clinical partners to complete procurement process
  • Complete business analysis and process reengineering
  • Improve program readiness through evidence-based best practices
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for EHR inquiries within DSH
  • Assist with organizational change management and communications planning and activities
  • Participate in end user training and solution implementation
  • Provide at-the-elbow support to end users providing patient care as well as patients when reviewing their medical records

Working Conditions
  • Telework is available for this position approximately 40% of the time.
  • Travel is required approximately 25% of the time. Travel will occur and reimbursement will be in accordance with Bargaining Unit agreements and standard state travel policies.
  • This position requires that the employee continue their ongoing responsibility (at least 51% of their time) towards the protection and safeguarding of public and property as well as continued activities that provide regular and substantial contact with incarcerated individuals.
